About the event
RECOVER CPR Certification
Wednesday, September 27th from 8 am to 4 pm at Dr. Brewlittles. Â Read all the info below about how you can be involved and get certified.
VetmEDUcate is offering the opportunity to become RECOVER CPR certified. Â What is that you ask? Â It is an in-depth training to become certified in basic life support and advanced life support CPR for dogs and cats. Â The process includes completing the online CE (8.5 hours) and then enrolling in an in-person full day course to obtain your certification. Â This is good for 2 years, and then can be renewed online.
Who can get this certification and who should become certified? Doctors, technicians, assistants, and students can all enroll. Â Anyone who has the potential to participate in CPR in the clinic.
You can learn more about the process and training at recoverinitiative.org.Â
The fee for the online course is $75 for techs, assistants, and students (and with coupon code RECOVERCPR30 is $52.50).Â
For veterinarians it is $150 ($105 with above coupon code).Â
Talk to your hospital administration to see if you're eligible to get reimbursement from your CE allowance for this course!
The next in- person session will be Wednesday, September 27th from 8 am to 4 pm at Dr. Brewlittles. Â The first 16 people to send their BLS + ALS certificates for the online portion will be admitted for this session. Â
Instructor Michele Hinks will let you know if you are able to attend when she receives the certificates or if you are being added to a waitlist. Â Once this class is full, she will release more dates.
Email your BLS + ALS certificates to mhinks@vetmedmgmt.com.Â
Just as an FYI, the cost to do the in-person session for these courses at IVECCS this year is $325 per person (+ the cost of the online courses so about $400 per person). Â So grab a seat while they are hot with vetmEDUcate!
