About the event

This month's Journal Club will discuss the 'Kirby Rule of 20.' The 'Kirby Rule of 20" is a set of guidelines and parameters that need to be evaluated on at least a daily basis on all hospitalized patients, especially those who are experiencing a critical illness. We will review the 20 topics essential to patient care and how those 20 parameters can help paint a picture of both diagnosis and prognosis. From monitoring fluid balance to Acid-Base balance, to overall generalized nursing care- the Rule of 20 is an indispensable checklist that should guide daily patient care!
